Electric Bass, Vocals

Concetta’s older brother songwriter, vocalist, and bass guitarist Candido Bretto enjoy seafood almost as much as he enjoys playing bass guitar. He blames it on growing up in the seaside town of Marshfield Massachusetts where some of his high school friends are fishermen, lobstermen, and restaurateurs. He is the proud father of 24-year-old violin maker, violinist and guitarist Marcus Bretto of Vermont Violins in Burlington VT.

Candido received a Certificate of Study from Berklee College of Boston and has taught music at two local private schools – The Woodward School for Girls in Quincy and Bay Farm Montessori Academy in Duxbury.

Candido has performed onstage with Grammy-winning music artists Barry Goudreau and Sib Hashian of the rock band BOSTON, Brad Paisley, Kenny Loggins and Maurice Starr of NKOTB. He’s also performed with Mike Stone of Queensryche and Ralph Moore saxophonist of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

These days when Candido is not performing with Concetta he can be found performing with Johnny (Drama) Alves of A&E’s Wahlburgers in his band Johnny Drama and his Funky Entourage. He can be seen in the Season 5 Episode 1 entitled “Directing Drama” Mark Wahlberg’s directorial debut and in a Wahlburgers rap video on YouTube here https://youtu.be/_wsr4CvYk7s. The video includes cameos of Carrie Underwood, Ralph Macchio, David Hasselhoff, Lou Ferrigno, and others.

Candido is a very busy guy these days finishing up a 12 song album called “Rockin’ The Secrets of Plymouth Rock.” It’s based on a children’s storybook by Diane L. Finn. In the book “Plymouth Rock” tells the story of its existence. Candido said, “If Plymouth Rock can talk then Plymouth Rock can sing too.” Candido plans to visit elementary schools throughout Massachusetts as part of Plymouth MA, celebrating the 400th Anniversary of the Landing of the Pilgrims in 2020.
