After living the dream of residing, working and performing in New York City and worldwide Jeff decided to change the pace and settle back in Boston,. His musical highlights have been opening for Little Richard, Al Green, performances at Scullers Jazz Club, Governor and Presidential inauguration celebrations. He’s shared the stage with Brian Jackson of The Gil Scott Heron Band and NYC Broadway director Chapman Roberts. Born into three generations of Bostonian musicians; Jeff began his musical studies on piano at age six with his grandmother Ella France Jones who was the product of Julliard School of Music, an accomplished Bostonian choir director, organist and radio celebrity soprano. His bass and percussion influences are mainly from his father; the late Champ Jones who an accomplished bassist for Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis Jr, Tom Jones and a regular on PBS. From his mother, an accomplished coloratura soprano, he acquired his vocal influences; the late Ruby Stevenson Jones was also a professional musician. Ruby who attended Boston Conservatory. Jeff attended, Arlington Academy of Music, Berklee College of Music and furthered his studies of voice and arranging at New England Conservatory of Music. Jeff completed Electronic Engineering Bachelors of Science from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Masters of Science course work in Technology Management at New York’s Polytechnic University.
