A stellar jazz and R & B musician, Plamen is also classically trained. A virtuoso of his instrument, he has led gospel choirs, directed musicals and performed with such jazz greats as Randy Brecker, Jimmy Cobb (Miles Davis quintet), George Garzone, Hal Crook, Dave Leibman and many others.
His debut album Crossing Lines receives national and international recognition among music critics and musicians. Plamen’s studies and notoriety began as a child in Bulgaria. During his studies at The State Academy of Music he became the pianist of the National Radio Big Band. Karadonev also graduates with summa cum laude (with honors) from the highly acclaimed, top music college in US, Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA.
Recently he collaborated with the internationally renowned saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi as part of his Contemporary Piano/Accordion Project.
